Microsoft + Facebook = A Year in the Like | ZDNet:
Microsoft + Facebook = A Year in the Like
Summary: Microsoft has built a little Facebook tool for you to enjoy. Just login with your Facebook account, and Microsoft will put together a beautiful timeline of your Facebook activity during the last year.
To use it, you have to login with Facebook. Once you do, it will compile all your Facebook data over the last year and present with you a timeline (not to be confused with the
Facebook Timeline) of chosen comments and events that occurred over the last 12 months.
You can customize any of the content the Microsoft webpage choose. Frankly, it looks much better than the Timeline that Facebook is going to force everyone to upgrade to later this year. Then again, you could argue that it’s nowhere near as practical.
The tool also gives you the option to “Make a Movie” based on your timeline events during the past year. It either picks the events itself, or lets you pick them by hand, and then stitches them together to make a single video clip (warning: this takes a while). Of course, we’ve seen this before:
Facebook launches Timeline Movie Maker.
